Roy Gibson established Roman Garage in 1969 following two successful years at Kirby Bellars Sportscars. He was previously a student at the College of Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering where he obtained an Honours Diploma in Automobile Engineering. Roman Garage has specialised from the very start in vintage, classic and historic cars, with particular emphasis on sportscars.
Repeat Business
In 1970, a 1929 Alfa-Romeo 1750 Supersport was brought in for repairs, and subsequentally this model became very much our speciality. Thanks to our high level of service and customer satisfaction, we still service, maintain and overhaul that particular car to concours standards. Roy Gibson eventually purchased the same model for himself.

We have carried on very much the same traditional work ever since we founded, and using our extensive experience and knowledge we can perform anything from a basic service to a complete nut and bolt restoration. We maintain a wide selection of vehicles, in the last year alone working on the following : Austin-Healey, Alvis, Alfa-Romeo, Austin, Aston Martin, Bentley, Chevrolet, Citroen, Daimler, Ferrari, Ford, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Mercedes Benz, M.G., Morgan, Morris, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Rover, Singer, Sunbeam, Talbot, Triumph and Wolseley.
